Port Mellon Deep Sea port

Port Mellon is already a deep-sea port. With a road and rail using the Connector crossing, the possibilities have no limits. Coal to Fraser River, barging to Texeda, makes no sense. Neither does a new grain terminal on the north shore. Vancouver Harbour could move many facilities to Port Mellon; Sulphur, Chips, Grain, Potash, oil and gas, and container traffic out of downtown. Think of the valuable areas the big city could make better use of. The newer and larger ships are safer, and any ship out of the inner Vancouver – Fraser River is a benefit.
