Gentlemen. This bridge proposal is going to solve all your problems that you outline and more. Now you have bottlenecks because of Langdale ferry departure times. Take the Langdale ferry out of there, now you might not have to spend 200m on the terminal.
BC will also save a lot by not having to build new ferries, and running them. The study will show the cost comparisons savings.
Many mid/north Vancouver Island travellers would take this route, instead of Nanaimo.
With a bridge, the traffic will be spaced out over 24 hrs. on the Sea To Sky.
The daytrippers will have an alternate, a fast passenger ferry (sample), directly to downtown from the Langdale terminal. You might want to link on to that one, with stop over on Bowen and Horseshoe Bay. I hope that your business will not suffer with all this traffic out of your area.
“those people over there” are living on the same part of the Mainland as you, and have the same right to make a living, and travel when we want to.
Are we considered as if we were “boat people” ? And if so, I am proud of beeing a Sunshine Coast boater.
